AiB Team - Robert Todd and Theri Andino Hand Analysis

North, East, and South all pass, so West gets to open in the 4th seat. If partner can take a joke if it goes poorly, 1NT is not a bad idea on this hand - singleton Kings in declarer’s hand perform pretty well more often than not in NT. North passes and East could stretch to bid Stayman, but with this horrible 8 HCP (only 1 point in their two 4-card suits) it is best to just pass and let partner play 1NT.
North will likely lead a 4th best and West can duck that around to the J, winning the trick. When the QJ are doubleton, also work great - declarer will likely take 4, 2, and 3-4 red tricks.

East passes, South passes, and West opens either 1NT or 1, since he could reverse into 2 (but may also choose 1NT to protect his short suits.). Let’s go with 1NT. Now North comes in with 2 and East bids whatever form of interference bidding they’ve agreed to to be able to show game-forcing hand with 4-card but no stopper. In a standard Lebensohl auction, that would just be a direct 3 cuebid. That works for West, and he bids 4. If North weren’t vulnerable, he might consider a sacrifice, but he is, so he doesn’t.
It would be very hard to get around any of declarer’s three losers - 1, 1, and 1 - as even a pitch doesn’t solve any of them, but it should also be pretty hard not to come to 10 tricks.

South opens 1 and West starts with a double, being too strong to overcall 1NT. North passes and East bids 2 (maybe even 3 if he thinks this hand is strong enough.) Now West bids 2NT (or 3NT) and East can show his 5-card suit, but if West really pushes for 3NT, as he may, that will be the best place to play and East should go along with it.
The same 2 losers in 4 bring about the same 11 tricks in NT, so NT scores better - although it’s possible declarers in 3NT don’t go after their trick and only come to 10 tricks total.

West passes and North opens 1. East passes in that case and South bids 1. West passes again and North rebids 2. South sets the Game Force however he needs to - probably 2 4th Suit Game Forcing - and North likely bids 2NT. South then rebids 3 and North bids 3NT, and that likely ends the auction.
As it happens, there are more tricks available in or , but it’s hard to get there. In NT, the defense can have their top 3 tricks. If East chooses a lead then North probably takes 5, 3, and 2 for 10 tricks.

North passes and East opens 1. South overcalls 1 and West bumps to 2 (or maybe even calls this a limit raise and bids 2.) East retreats to as low as he can, and since South got no cooperation from partner and is red, he probably lets this go rather than introduce his . If West bids only 2 then aggressive North's may compete with a Responsive Double and lead to South bidding and EW further competing to at least 3.
Fortunately the bidding makes this pretty easy to play - declarer in just has to pull trump and lead up the Q to lose just 1, 1, and 1.

East has an awfully nice hand, but still starts with 1. South gets in there with a 2 preempt (or even 3 if South is aggressive) so West passes. North has good stuff but nowhere to go over 2, so it’s back to East, who probably doubles. West actually has the goods to beat 2 on perfect defense, but he doesn’t know that and shouldn’t pass with this weak/balanced of a hand, and he just bids 3. If East is smart, he’ll let this go, but he might also ask for a stopper and find one in West to wind up playing 3NT.
3NT has a shot at making if the defense ever lets West gain the lead - to use the K or take a finesse. If they don’t, then declarer can only get his 5, 1, 1, and 1 more trick from endplaying North. (But if he gets to West, he can take the K and the hook for 9 tricks!)

South passes, as does West, but North has an amazing hand and opens 1 (or maybe even 2, but that's hard with 2 suits). East passes and South makes a Drury 3-card limit raise with 2. North then splinters into 3, and since South has control in both the unbid suits, he makes a cuebid, showing theA with 4 (or singleton depending on your cuebidding style.) Now North is really excited and probably just goes to Keycard, since the Q is the next most interesting thing he wants to know. South shows the 1 KC, North asks about the Q, and South shows it but no other Kings by just bidding 6. That’s warning enough to North that there might be a loser (if there was no cuebid), so he passes.
Of course, South knew there wasn’t a loser, but he didn’t really have a chance to tell partner that. So all 13 tricks are here as long as declarer ruffs a couple of before pulling trump.

West opens 1 and North probably passes, though some might scrape up a double since he’s not vulnerable. East bids 1 and South bids at least 2 if North doubles (though 4 is also reasonable). Now West can raise to 2 with real 4-card support in either auction. North passes since he doubled on less-than-opening values anyways, and East is fine here. South, however, competes to 3. East is unlikely to let that stand with his void and bids 3, so then it’s up to NS to keep going. North actually has the info now that South has very few, if any , and some extra , so he might be persuaded to try 4 (especially since it doesn’t feel like he has all that much defense to 3, but he might to 4.) It’s unlikely EW will argue with that, but rather just sit and hope to go positive.
However South gets to 4, it works like a charm! Declarer only loses 1 (playing West for at least the A and probably also the Q), 1, and 1 on the hook of the T once the K is lost.
