North might wish to bid, holding useful distribution, some values, and excellent intermediates, but opening such hands will typically overexcite partners and destroy confidence in producing promised values. Therefore, passing is best, with the mind to strike later.

East, South, and West all make predictable calls, and North will be unable to resist raising partner's suit, ending the auction.

A diamond lead would be much more appealing to West with almost any other holding, but Kx does not appeal, and every other suit has some appeal.

No matter. South will do best to rise with the A, eschewing a losing finesse, in order to crossruff hearts and clubs, and assuring the third club when necessary by ruffing the third heart with the A. Then three club ruffs, one spade, and five trumps assure the contract

Failing to bid game would be cowardly, especially since North dodged the bullet of a 4 response.

Perhaps East should save in 5, as Deep Finesse suggests as par, but 4333 hands do lack much inducement to sacrifice, and such a bid must be based on an atypical preemptive discipline.

Or a devil-may-care fling.

Overcalling hands like South's is typically an unproductive enterprise. Other commentators in the Common Game frequently advocate holding six card suits for two level overcalls and criticize five card overcalls unless the suit is robust and overall values compensatory. South's club suit is inadequate, values questionable, and the suit potentially misdirectional. It does turn out that NS can make 3, a club fit fortuitously existing, but bidding might prod EW into bidding a makeable game. Passing with hands like South's does seem better.

West might dredge up the saw that advocates keeping the bidding open with an ace and an excuse, and that would clearly gain a game bid from East (a 1NT forcing response would catch a 2 reverse and a heart preference a game bid).

4 is extraordinarily lucky to make ( South is rather endplayed as opening leader, trumps are 2-2, and the Q is onside).

South has the values to force to game facing a strong notrump, and with North denying a major suit fit will just have to take care of the clubs.

If North can intervene at the three level, South can surely raise, holding four trumps, a singleton in the opponents' suit, and other inducements.

North might not have a real hand on this auction for those who adhere to Marty Bergen's OBARSBIDS philosophy (quite sound, by the way). However, the fit should normally overcome any high card point deficiencies. And nothing prevents North's actually holding a hand.

OBARSBIDS stands for "Opponents Bid And Raise Suit -- Balance in Direct Seat." In other words, using another observation that "if they have a fit, we have a fit," when the opponents have found a fit quickly, bid whenever you have a good suit. Hence the acronym and the theory behind the name of the convention.

Well, slam makes, rather luckily, by dropping the K singleton offside and having the finesse work. That won't often happen, and especially won't be accompanied by actually bidding the slam.

Bidding and making five of a minor is not very common and just bidding game should reap great rewards.
