AiB Team - Robert Todd and Theri Andino Hand Analysis

North passes and East opens 1. Since North is a passed hand, South could go ahead with a 2 preempt, even with 2 Aces, and so West starts with a double. North passes with such a weak balanced hand, and so East probably now just goes for 3NT to keep things simple (counting on West to have something in .)
There are an easy 9 tricks here on the presumed lead with 1, 2, and 6, but if declarer is out for blood, he can finesse North for the Q (more probable with the preempt) and get 3 more tricks for 12 total. The defense might not get both of its Aces if it doesn't lead them!

East passes and South opens 1NT. West passes, North transfers to , and South accepts. Now North probably just passes unless they have some partnership agreement that would let South show 3-card support and a maximum. But for most tables this looks like 2.
When the A and the K are in the right place, this hand actually has 10 tricks/3 losers only - 1, 1, and 1. (Although counting losers from North, declarer will think he needs to be careful about the 4th , but when East's JTx fall, the 9 turns out to be a winner anyways.)

South opens 1 and West passes. North bids 1 and now East might like to pipe up with his Majors if 2 is still Michaels Cue Bid . That does make South's bid a little more complicated, but a double should work as support, and West picks 2. North needs to come up with something now, so while it might be a small stretch, he could try 2NT, and South is sure to take that to 3NT. (It's also entirely possible East was wisely scared off by the vulnerability and passed, in which case South probably rebid 1NT, North invited with 2NT, and South went. OR, worst case scenario, North went conservative and passed 1NT.)
But NT plays very nicely for North when the can be set up and he has at least double stoppers everywhere, coming to up to 2, 5, 2, and 3, except that the defense wins 2 and 1 on the way.

West opens 1 and North bids 2 Michaels Cue Bid . East forces with 3, South passes, and West just rebids 3, which East raises to game.
East's don't really turn out to be the source of tricks declarer was hoping for, but this game is in good shape, losing just 1, 1, and 1.

North passes and East opens 4, which is enough to keep everyone else quiet. (This hand is just too good for a 3 preempt, although it should still get to game on this hand.)
This works great, and declarer even has a chance to get an overtrick if he can just lose the 1 and 1, although it's not hard at all to lose a second .

East passes and South opens 1. If he weren't vulnerable, West might consider preempting, but his suit is awfully anemic, and he passes. North then starts with 1, and South rebids his 2NT. North probably just bids 4 then, so it would be up to South to keep going with all his Keycards, but when he doesn't know what's going on in and North will be declaring, he probably just passes here. It's also entirely possible North bids 3 as a forcing bid, South cuebids 4, and North bids 4 now, leaving it up to South to go slamming, OR bids 4NT over 4 since North knows South doesn't have the A from the cuebidding. That will get them to slam, but it's also possible many just play game.
As it happens, slam can be made by setting up the last little to pitch a losing (since that finesse doesn't work), leaving declarer with just that one loser.

South passes, West passes, North passes, and finally East opens 1NT. West invites with either a direct 2NT or a Stayman-2NT auction per agreements, and East accepts.
This one looks like it's up to the defense to beat, but really, they will have a couple of bites at the apple most likely. The most direct route is to just take the first 4 off the top and then wait for the K, but even if South leads a or a , declarer can only get to 8 tricks (4, 1, 3) before the defense gets in again, and then it should be pretty clear to switch to .

West opens 1, so North passes. East starts with 1NT (semi-)forcing, or even better, 3 invitational. Over 1NT, West rebids 2, and now when East rebids 2, West can bump to 3 and East takes it to game. Or, over 3, West has an easy 4.
The singletons work out well - declarer only has to lose 1, 1, and 1!
