AiB Team - Robert Todd and Theri Andino Hand Analysis

North opens 1 and East passes. South starts by responding 1, and West overcalls 1. North shows a real 4-card raise with 2, and East might like to say something, but should cut partner some slack for being an overcall and just pass for now, also hoping he might have enough defense for NS to get in trouble. South passes, and now so does West, so here we are.
It's true that East's are a problem, but South has mostly everything else under control with the finesse working and should just lose 3 and 2.

East passes, South passes, and West can go ahead and make a nuisance of himself with a 3 preempt. North then has a choice between taking a stab at 3NT or trap passing. It would be best for South to then transfer to , but all contracts are doomed at this point.
If North is playing 4, though, he can lose just 2, 2, and 1.

South passes, West passes, and North bids 1. East passes and South starts with 1. North then reverses into 2, and South likely just makes the expedient bid of 3NT, which North probably lets go, although he may push on with his suit, especially if he has a tool like minorwood at his disposal. If he can find out that South does have one Keycard, 6 looks pretty reasonable.
But in NT, declarer can make 12 tricks when the finesse against the K works to bring in 4, 2, 6, and 1, except that he can only get to the dummy once on his own to finesse the / (and a second time when the defense leads ), so will not get all those red tricks.

West opens 1 and North passes, so East games forces into 2. South passes and West rebids 2. That puts East in a little bit of a bind - he might gamble on 2NT without a stopper, or he could raise on the honor doubleton, or he could rebid 3 on the 5-card suit, or he could bid 3 to express concern about NT. West then probably bids 4, and even if East bids 4, it might sound like a cuebid, and they could play 5. It's also possible someone takes a shorter path somewhere there and they play 4.
In 4, declarer loses 2 and 1.

North passes and East preempts at least 3. South can probably go ahead and double, even with only 2-card , although could also be forgiven for 4, or even passing. West stays quiet, and North then reacts to whatever South - but it seems hopeful that they find their way to 4. Of course East might have just opened 4 and gotten NS to bid too high.
In 4, West's are a problem, but since most everything else in in hand, declarer should be OK. He can lose 1, 1, and 1 (or another ), and then is fortunate that the behave.

East passes, South passes, and West opens 1. North overcalls 2 and East doubles. South passes and West probably just rebids 2, so East tries for one more push with 3 (unless North beats him to it, then he probably just bids 3). West doesn't have a stopper, so he may now try something like 3, which might get them to game, but East might also feel like he's done enough dragging along of West.
But game would be a good idea - in , there's only the 1 to worry about if declarer drops the stiff K (and in all these other contracts); in there's a and loser; and in there's a and a .

South probably passes, and West opens 1. North passes and East makes a simple raise to 2 (or maybe 1NT planning to bid 2 next, although that might lead to a longer auction that doesn't reach game), and now South comes in with a takeout double. West should just go straight to game on the strength of his shape, and so North probably lets this go since partner is a passed hand.
Indeed, this is an easy game with just 1 and 1 to lose.

West passes, North opens 1 (or maybe 1NT), and East overcalls 1. South still bids 1, and West bids 1NT. North raises to 2, and that's probably that when East is light and West was a passed hand. Opening 1NT probably does get them to the game though - 1NT - 2 - 2 - 4.
But this is another hand where game could have worked! Declarer only has to lose 2 and 1 when the K is in the pocket.
