AiB Team - Robert Todd and Theri Andino Hand Analysis

North passes and East opens 1, planning to rebid 2NT. South passes and West starts with a 1 response. Now when East proceeds with the 2NT plan, West can add up some points and probably just bid 6NT, although he might go a little slower through Gerber/minorwood and confirm the presence of all the Aces, and then bid 6NT.
Sure enough, even though the K is offside, there are 12 tricks here - 2, 4, 3, and 4, minus 1.

East passes and South opens 1. West overcalls 1, so North bids 1NT. East has , and might make the weak 3 bid non-vulnerable, which actually does make South's bid a little harder. If East had passed, South could bid 3 as a Western cuebid to check that partner really has a stopper (since 1NT there could be something North got backed into if he didn't have a 4-card suit to double with), but now he probably just needs to take it on faith that partner really does have that stopper and just bid 3NT. (Doubling 3 is also possible if it can be trusted that partner will take it as Western-Cuebid-esque.)
Happily, North's stopper is real, and so the defense really just gets 2 tricks after declarer takes 4, 6, and 1.

South probably passes (although some partnerships will understand this could be opened 1), West passes, and North opens 1. East passes and South bids 1, so North rebids 1NT. South likely invites with 3, but North is a minimum and will just pass.
Declarer does just fine in - losing only 1 and 2 (if the defense goes after them right away, before declarer knocks out the A and gets some pitches.)

West is heavy but vulnerable, so opening 2 seems like a good idea, and so North has to decide whether this is good enough to overcall 2 (it's close.) In either case, East bumps to 3, and South doubles if North did overcall 2 but probably passes otherwise. If South double, North bids 3, and it seems like things quiet down at that point in either 3W or 3N.
If NS weren't going to bid the game, then defending 3 could be best. In 3, West loses at least 1, 3, 1, and 1. (Whereas in 4, North could lose just 1, 1, and 1.)

North passes and East opens 1. South overcalls 2, so West probably just doubles. North can push that to 3, but with his shape, East bids 3, so it's going to be up to West to raise that - he may not since he's a minimum for his double to start with, but he does know that partner is short in , so with his own shortness, he might take the plunge and bid game, especially at teams. (He might pass at pairs.)
That would be a good idea on this hand - declarer only has to lose 1 and 1 when the K cooperates and the long are good for pitches.

East has a pretty miserable 12-count, but opens 1. West answers 1, and North then interjects something - probably 1NT. East then has to pass since a double would be penalty (not support), and when it gets back to West, he doubles with invitational values, and that's fine by East. South might try running out to (through a XX or the like), but now that EW have started making penalty doubles, they should stick to it and double whatever NS bid.
In a funny turn of events, EW could make 3NT, but they're likely to be just as happy defending 1NTX! (or 2/X). North just has no tricks here - he can try to work on , but with the nasty split, he's really just held to 4 tricks, maybe 5 if the defense lets him set up (but that would require a lot of help to get to the good J.)

South opens 1, which West passes, and North bids 1NT. East comes in with a double over that, and since South has been warned by the 1NT bid not to worry about a fit, he just rebids 2. West offers 2 (or 3), and North bids 3. This will probably go back and forth as long as EW will keep bidding with NS bidding over it, but that probably won't get past game - looks like South most likely plays 4.
But it turns out that EW should have pushed one more - both because they can make 4 and because they have a chance at going positive against 5. Here in 4, declarer should be fine, losing 1 and 2.

West passes and North has a really interesting hand, but with 5-6 M-m, he probably passes for now. Instead, East gets to open 1NT, and so South can make a 2-suited bid however partnership agreements allow, and West passes. If North can manufacture any way to play in a red suit, he probably will (even knowing that's almost impossible to be what partner has), but it feels like most of these auctions will end in South playing 2, but lots of final contracts are possible here - and West likely doubles a black-suited contract for takeout/showing some values, but East leaves it in.
If hapless South plays 2, it won't be pretty - he loses 2, 1, 1, and 1 off the top, but then also is unlikely to be left his trump in the dummy to help with , so has at least one more loser there, and the spots likely contribute even another loser.
