AiB Team - Robert Todd and Theri Andino Hand Analysis

North passes and East opens 1. South passes and West starts with 1. East rebids 1NT, and West goes into whatever flavor of New Minor Forcing they play. East shows 3-card support (and a maximum, if possible), and West is happy to bid the game.
Now, it turns out that with several finesses working and the eventual ability to pitch 2 on , declarer could get away with losing only that one trick, but it's more likely that another loser sneaks in here somewhere for most declarers, especially if they don't get the right, which is tricky and not necessarily logical.

East opens 1, South passes, and West answers with 1. North has good stuff but nowhere to go, so he passes. East rebids 1NT, and so West just goes to 3NT.
The defense can beat this, but they have to go after early, before declarer can make the good. If he is allowed, declarer could come to 1, 3, and 5 - but the defense could also come to 2, 2, and 1 if they get the ball rolling on the .

South passes and West opens 1NT. North could interfere with the pointy suits, but in (nearly) any case, East just bids 3NT anyways.
This is not a bad contract, but just doesn't have 9 tricks. Declarer can get 2, 1, 1, and 4, but then the well runs dry. (If North happens to lead a small , that could lead to a 9th trick with a third .)

West opens 1 and North overcalls 1. East probably just passes that (might entertain a double, but red, probably not worth it.) South could bid 1NT here, and so West rebids 2. North can try 2 (or doubles for takeout), but now East knows the are real, and can raise to 3, but South probably takes the bump to 3 now that he has a better idea of what's happening in . West might bid again, spurred by his void, although East will be pretty unhappy about that. Most likely though is that this passes out at 3. (If North has doubled, then South probably just passes 3, and then North can double again and get South to bid 3 that way.)
Even with the pretty horrendous trump break here, declarer may be able to eke this out. He loses 1, 1, and 2 (or no and 3 depending on how the setting up goes) - but can't draw trump for this, so more realistically looks at winners: 2, 1, 1, 2 ruffs, and 3 trump.

AiB Team - Robert Todd and Theri Andino Hand Analysis

North opens 1, East passes, and South answers 1. West also passes, and North raises to 2. Having been warned of North's minimum values here, South passes, and so it's up to West to think about balanced, but even at the right colors, that's hard to do with a 4333 hand. But if he should choose to come in with a double, say, he'll find partner with the perfect . North probably won't let that stand with the singleton, though, so it does still seem like NS will play a partscore.
And that could work out fine, as long as declarer drops the Qx, which may not be easy to do unless West reveals his other points first. Declarer can lose 1 and 2, and then repeated plays could make the Q a moot point if declarer has had to ruff twice in the dummy, leaving him with a loser anyways.

East opens 1 and South passes (close to doubling but probably not enough.) West answers 1, and North also passes. East rebids 1NT, which West corrects to 2 to play.
A double finesse in will let declarer lose just one trick there, and then 2 and 2 (or 1 and a ruff) to make the contract.

South passes and West opens 1. North passes, so East starts with 1. West is very excited about that, and splinters into 4 (or 5 exclusion if possible) (or 4 if that shows 6-4). That's not the best news to East, and he may try to cut things off at 4, but West is probably not done yet. He can try one more time with a 5 cuebid to show the void, and now East should perk up, and probably just bid 6. (Even if they had gone through some Ace-asking sequence, they would find they were missing the Q, and not bid the grand.)
But since the QJ are doubleton, declarer actually has no losers at all!

West might pass, but this could also be a good hand to preempt with 2 with a 5431 hand. North has to pass that, and East bumps it along to 3. South then has a much tougher call - with 15 points though, he can double and just hope that partner doesn't pick . North should see some extra value in his 5-5 hand now and go ahead to 4.
Which is a great call! Declarer only has to lose the 2 tricks and then is good.
